Just wanted to wish everyone here a delightful holiday (whatever you happen to be celebrating). If you need a bit of a diversion, here's a thing I slapped together with 3dsMax, RAViX4 vector-render and Flash... http://www.e-nimation.com/swiftdev/RunawaySleigh.swf.
Enjoy.

Merry Christmas bhnh!!
The game looks interesting. I'd play with it when I get back from work.
I would like to know how to combine 3d and flash together and make something that you did, since I do some 3d too.:)
Very Cool :)
Merry Christmas everyone!
Thanks for the kind words, all. :o

Here are several more examples of 3D incorporated into Flash games (that I've done)...

These were all done for an e-card company and the file-size restrictions were really severe... and in many ways it's obvious; the speed, for instance, was confined to 10 fps.
The 3D modeling and animation was done in either 3dsMax (very high-end) or Swift (very low-end). The key is that the models were exported as vector art using RAViX4; RAViX4 is native to Swift and there is a RAViX4-plugin for 3dsMax. And Flash was designed to work primarily with vector art.
As you may know, recently a 3D engine called Papervision has been developed for Flash, using bitmap rather than vector art, and for what it does it's quite remarkable... which is to say it's like successfully teaching a pig to fly; the pig is flying, but birds still do it a lot better. I freely admit that I'm on the conservative side on this issue, but until the technology matures more, I tend construct Flash games in a way best suited for Flash, which is to say by using vector art and pre-animating in the 3D apps. For more "standard" games I use Conitec GameStudio.
If you'd like to continue the discussion I suppose we should do it in another thread. Also, if you'd like to see how some of these were put together I'd be happy to share some of the .flas with you.
