I don't know what the font is, but it's not the same font as the GDF font. The e is different, quite different. So's the r.

close but not quite. I tried looking for the "number" that John G posted, but didn't find anything. It could very well be a font reference off some old fonts cd.

are you looking for someone to design a logo for you? If so, you can post an ad in the "classifieds" section of the forum. Bear in mind that you can only post ads for paying work; graphic designers don't work for free.

well let me explain to you ..

" KATANA " Is a auto club name , and i need to write it on a windshield ...
- The club theme is one Japanese , or Chinese ..doesn't matter
- Our logo is a Samurai , " KATANA " for those that don't know , is a samurai's sword ...

@ What I need ?

+ A unique FONT , something special (Japanese , Chinese) ...

Just because a font exists, it doesn't mean it can be found for a free dowload. If you can only find sites where you can buy the font, then perhaps it's not available for free. Font designers often like to make money at what they do. If you do find it for free, it's a) illegal or b) a knock-off that will likely not rip correctly or is missing several characters.

Try a google search for "calligraphic fonts" (or "crouching tiger font") and go through the results.

Out of curiosity, have you read the sticky on font identification tools (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23227)? I think you might find it handy.

Oops. The hammer came down while I wasn't looking. Last-minute Friday deadline.

I've been following Adobe's Thomas Phinney on his "Typeblography" blog as he developed Hypatia Sans Pro. I had no idea how torturous it was to come up with a complete typeface. I realize that this Crouching Tiger face is much simpler, but still, someone sat down and drew it, developed it and tweaked it. If they choose to sell it rather than give it away, and it's a good face, they deserve to be paid, not ripped off.

Sorry it's a rant and late. I just had to get that off my chest.
