lol i would love to have a themed wedding... but i think the only theme i'd actually be allowed is a 'wedding' theme :) lol
I'm going to make sure there's lots of ska and reggae at the do though.

somewhere in about 2 years. We have to do a fair bit of saving and being a GD people are going to expect something pretty special in the way of invites etc... so i'll need the time to get it right ;)

My friend PJ sent out Batman and Superman themed invites for his wedding. He is a HUGE comic book nerd and his wifey let him do what ever he wanted with the invitations if she could control the wedding atmosphere. Both were quite happy in the end! :)

Congrats!!

I've seen some pretty nice invitations using floral images and text on vellum overlays, and they weren't labor intensive.

Congrats, Cap'n!

Just remember these 3 things, and you will have a successful marriage:

Yes, dear.
I'm sorry, dear.
It will never happen again, dear.

This works well on me (and for me):

Excellent news Captian. Congratulations buddy.

Well, my wedding had a "shotgun" theme.

Is that where you stand at the altar and the first bloke to shout "SHOTGUN" gets to be the groom? :D

Nah, poppet. It means some tiny little person had already called shotgun and was riding up front. ;) If I'd been able to then I reckon I'd have loved to wait until I was nearly full term and got married in a white preggo wedding dress, just for the comedy value. Maybe next time I'm heavily pregnant we can stage a renewing of the vows with a big 80's style merigue dress with puff ball sleeves.

I was looking at wedding dresses online last night and came upon one with the following description: "Delicate rouching just below empire waistline makes this dress very maternity-friendly." :D
