Kind of...

I had a lot of free time today, so I pulled this little site out of my you know what....just simple css and html with a graphic banner. Wanted to keep it easy to navigate, and the design super clean and simple...i know it isn't the most creative looking (at least I think i can do better), but I think it'll be effective. It is ONLY TEMPORARY until I find time to put something more creative together!

My previous web site was HORRIBLE and didn't even sell my design services, or express my capabilities, so its a huge improvement, and I hope it will help me generate a little more business. Though the main reason I don't have time to properly do what I'd like with the site is because I am constantly working on client projects in the evening and weekends already! But if it can help bring me closer to working full time for myself...then that makes me happy!

Thought I would see what you guys thought about it...THANKS and have a wonderful weekend!

I must be turning into a computer geek because the first thing I did was run it through the W3 Validator...there are a few errors that would be easy for you to fix....then you could put the little W3C valid icon on your site and be even more impressive :D

On a design note, I don't think you necessarily need the Expand Your Element on twice...but I do like it running vertically on the side though....

HA thanks! :) yeah like i said...pulled it outta me arse real quick today. I didn't even bother validating, which I NORMALLY would do for client sites.....just ran it myself...yep easy fixes!

i just wanted to get that up first. Definitely going to do more with it and I WILL definitely fix those errors! :)

i like the simplicity, just ac ouple things that irk me though.

i could deal with the leading of the header a little tighter, more specifically, between expand and your element.

i also think a really light faded background would work really well here, and seperate the site a little more from the background. right now, all that seperates it is the thing border -- what if there was a light green, like your nav bg, with white different sized butterflies as the background? make it really light and subtle, it might work, might not. maybe worth exploring!

nice work for a quickie! goodluck!
