Downloading demo of QX7

If I download the demo of QX7 will it have any bad effect any QX5 classic files I have on my system? Can QX7 read QX5 files?

I don't recall that you are able to save in the demo. If you can, don't.
If I were you, I would do any tests on copies.

And yes, I've seen text and element shifts when updating Quark files. Not often, but enough to know to be wary when doing it. Some of the Dingbat and Wingding types of fonts tend to be touchy about baseline shifts.

I get text that shifts from 6 to 7 ALL THE TIME. It drives me insane...

I was mostly going from 4 to 6. No one in my industry uses 7. Artboard too small.
