a little flyer i did to promote an artist's album.

I'm not sure the Web2.0 mirror effect is helping the design at all.

Why is the word Poing done in the only instance of that particular yellowgreen? It doesn't fit the rest of the piece. Unless the reason is it is from the actual album cover, I might of picked up one of the gold colors in the guy's hoodie.

yeah i see what you mean, printdriver.
the funny thing is that i did exactly what you suggested.. i guess if i would have let it in glod color it would be hard to read.. but i got problems with some colors and to me it looks gold but now that you point it out.. i see it ain't exactly gold.

about the Poing thing, it's a little complex...

the title "Mon poing d'vue" means My point of view.
Now in french, point is also written point.. but poing(which is pronounced the same way) means fist.
the concept was that he brings his point of view, wihtout leaving his reality, lifestyle.. which could hurt some.. like a punch
it's simply a little word play that had a sense, that's why he used it

It could be my home monitor is out of whack again or you just hit the wrong pixel with the eyedropper. It's not nearly so green looking on my work machine. You may want to go for a more visual match than an actual sampling.

I like how well the background works with the jacket. I think it looks classy and figured the the green/gold was to work with the jacket too. The Web 2.0 shadow is ok- I would just make it a little smaller. It looks pretty solid to me.

What's the symbol in the bottom left corner? I'm not sure what it's there for...it kinda reminds me of something from Star Trek....

I do agree that the "Poing" might look better in red. And I dont know how small this is going to be but you could lose some of the thin verticals in the font.

I like it.
