Never thought our little town would make the national news, but here we are...and its design related - gasp!!

Our fine city officials outsourced a banner project to a Seattle firm and what we got was interesting to say the least...

I see the guns, but i think the design works anyhow. Could be worse, could be an ACME bomb or a skull and crossbones.

Our town is "trying" to attract tourism with the nearby Wine trail, and we have a nutorious gang problem. So, this isn't helping.

Critics say the banners -- featuring an abstract design meant to evoke rays of light or rivers -- look like either three rifles or three extended arms holding handguns.

Well, they're right. I didn't see light or rivers at all.

If they were supposed to be rivers, why do they degrade into really sharp angles at the back of the perspective? That's what gives it the gun feel more than anything, the angles.

I like how not only can they be interpreted as guns, but you have your pick of either rifles or handguns, based on your personal preference, of course. :D

reminds me of the propaganda posters of the second world war, hitlers men saluting or the russian guns pointing to the sky!!

It is propaganda! Maybe they designer or person behind the design wants a war?
