I can't seem to find it but a while back someone posted a excellent website that I think had to do with hotels or traveling. Its pretty general… but maybe someone knows what I'm talking about. I thought I had bookmarked it but can't find it. Any help is appreciated- thanks.

TripAdvisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/). IMO, is pretty good. But that might not be what you were talking about.
And I've never used this podcasts for travel site (http://podcityguides.com/), and I know there are tons of podcasts you can download for free for wherever you might be going. But they're supposed to be a good way to get to know and get around where you're going.
And there's always the Unusual Hotels (http://www.unusualhotelsoftheworld.com/) site if you're looking for somewhere different to stay.
And finally, there's always Mobissimo (http://www.mobissimo.com/search_airfare.php?t=google_us&gclid=CPO-kdW87JACFQINPAodMkRcWw) which is a meta-search for good airline, hotel, car rental, etc. deals. It's not perfect, but it's good to check it out.
