A web developer friend of mine just sent me to this site yesterday, and I am completely addicted! Its completely new - and a great way for bands to market themselves and get exposure. I added an account for one of my clients even. I think it is going to grow tremendously!

Its a neat way to find new music, and have fun while doing it. Take a moment to browse. It is free! If you sign up, I would greatly appreciate a referal my way - DesignVHL
Enjoy and don't let it take up your whole day! :P

Try http://pandora.com as well, it's a streaming music site.
You can create your own "radio station" based on a genre, band, or even just a song. It's completely intuitive, you create a station and then continue working while it finds more songs similar to what you've chosen.

Pandora is no longer available outside the US (dumb laws), so I'll check this one out.
It's fast to load which is good, but the music I normally listen to don't fit into the genres down the side...

Does Pandora still have heaps of ads though? That's one thing that I don't miss.

i think they are adding on as it develops, its pretty new. There is a feature request in the forums, as well as a music request section.

I don't even notice the ads on Pandora, since they don't interrupt the music. I usually just have it tucked off to the side in a small browser window.

Um...When I used to listen to Pandora, they had 5 to 10 seconds of advertising between each song. Hard to ignore.

They don't do that anymore. They do have web banner ads, though, but they don't cut into the music.

yeah same here - never notice the pandora ads either..i usually pull it out of the browser and minimize also. Still the whole premise of that site is pretty neat. I got a pandora tshirt from them a couple years ago when they first launched for the holidays to thank me for listening...kinda cool.

We're all loving pandora at our office. It's only a matter of time before our IT department blocks it from us. We can't get to the iTunes store or YouTube any more. :(
