You know, it doesn't really matter how cheesy or badly executed an illustration style is-- there will always be someone to find a use for it. Even if it's for self-parody.

Every time I laugh off a style, I can almost guarantee to see that it comes around, in some form, to prove that it can be done. It's just finding the right idea. Sometimes the cheesier the look, the more appropriate. Or more importantly, the more outrageous and therefore the more effective it can be.

Actually, you've given me an idea on an assignment I just got.

Aahh, those were the days (the days I used to get stoned and stare at the walls for hours cuz getting weed was easier than getting alcohol for the underaged but had an opposite effect that it had on everyone else, they all thought it was cool and I thought it was just plain boring to stare at childrens cartoons while we're sitting at your house cuz you hafta watch your little sister and instead of sending her to bed at 8 o'clock and fooling around for the next 3 or 4 hours until your parents got home you just wanted to get high and laugh at those stupid barney tapes while listening to Darkside of the Moon cuz you haven't updated your cd collection and its what yo were raised on and you "don't understand" Nirvana or Alice in Chains and now I'm bored and wanting to go home and go to sleepand when I get up to leave you ask me "Are you mad at me" to which I reply "No, I'm high and bored out of my skull and things keep racing through my mind and you don't even have the common decency to take your bra of and make out cuz your a stoner.......I'm going home, running one off and going to bed") Aaah, yes, those truly were the days.
