Hi,
I am new to the forum and I have tried searching for a post without luck.
I am not a designer; however, I am designing a brochure for my company and have some difficulties with the sizes I need to follow.
I am creating a tri fold brochure and not sure what each size of the panel must be so I will be able to fold it correctly without lines going to the other side’s:
I was told the right panel and the center one must be 3 11/16 and that the left one must be 3 9/16. If I add it up it does not add correctly...
I am designing 8.5 x 11 by the way. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for your help.

OK, I'm no good with inches so I shall explain in millimetres (I'm also assuming that by Trifold you are talking about what I'd call a Rollfold);

Front flap and centre are to be the same size, 100mm
The flappy bit, 97mm

This would give me a 297mm document (A4 to me).

I know this isn't the right measurements for you but it basically works like thus, the inner flappy bit needs to be a fraction shorter than the other sides so that it will fold in without causing any problems.
