I'm excited about this soon-to-be web-based application suite (http://a.viary.com/). Vector editing, bitmap editing, 3D design, word processing, and more. The whole suite will be web based! Each product is named after a type of bird.
What's strange is that its based off of Adobe's Flex backbone system. Obviously a web plug-in is not ready to replace a full-featured client, but this is a step in that direction.
So far they are in beta testing. I was able to find screen shots of the Peacock application (http://www.flickr.com/photos/quasimondo/sets/72157603292202052/).
