Hi,
I'm working on creating an image of an elevator.. It's coming to a web page, but I haven't figured out a good way of creating the mirror next to the elevator panel. The idea is that when people press the buttons, text would appear on the "mirror". So do you have any ideas on how to create an "almost-realistic-looking" mirror or window effect to my image? The style of the elevator is metallish.. What would be the best color for the mirror surface? What about the glare? I really appreciate if you have any ideas on my problem.

Regards,

Searched a couple sites, couldn't find anything for a mirror, but I did find plenty of metal and glass tutorials. www.impactdesign.org/modules.php?name=Tutorials&l_op=search&query= (http://www.impactdesign.org/modules.php?name=Tutorials&l_op=search&query=)

hope that helps, welcome to the GDF!

Wooow...!!! http://www.graphicdesignforum.com//emoticons/worshippy.gif Thanks alot, I appreciate your helpfulness D-Frag, but I've still not found exactly the way I want it.. Those tutorials you guided me to helped alot though to find out more and more possibilities in PS7! Well, experimenting is always fun! :D

And thanks for the welcomes!

it may just be easier to look at a mirror and examine what gives it the look of a mirror...
the chrome backing gives off the reflection, but the glass also gives a slight reflection too.
other than that the only other things that could give it 'the look of a mirror' would be finger/smuge marks.
