hi guys.

one of my friend's 14yr old cousin passed away a few days ago, and she would like me to design something with one of his pics, saying rest in peace, his name and the dates.

(i dont know where to start, im just going to clip him and enhance the image as much as possible, but as far as background or anything, all i can brainstorm is angels, wings, softness, clouds,, anyone seen any really nice pieces designed?)

does anyone have any references on some nicely designed rip pieces?

i tried to google some and it just came up with crap.

thank you

Why not some modern flourishy-type art peice?

Something like...

http://www.bittbox.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/pashii_7.jpg
http://www.bittbox.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/pashii_2.jpg

I know it's cliche, but it's modern, something he might have liked. Plus it's easy to bang out and looks good.

Sorry to hear about the loss... :(

What is it you're designing, datswhutsup? Is it a memorial program? And what do you know about the boy who passed away? Perhaps make it more personal to things he would have liked? And don't forget that a lot of times, these things are more for the family than they are for anyone else. Whatever's going to make them feel a little comfort at the boy's passing is going to be a lot.

I'm also sorry to hear about the loss. Such a young age. :(

Perhaps a theme with something that he was passionate about or was known for would be nice.

Otherwise, black and white pieces tend to do nicely.

Don't think ribbons or angels or doves for a teenager. Tone down something that is marketed towards teenagers.

Key is to tone it down.
