I have just designed in Illustrator..a couple of colour ads that are to go in nice magazines for a client.

He has supplied me a logo that has both type, and and has a really poor put together circle used in it, with no paths and all done in photoshop.

I placed it in the adverts i made in illustrator and it looks like a dogs dinner...aaah.

Any suggestions? should i use the logo?

I suspect it will look as shoddy off screen as it does on!

Thanks

Rocket

I gave you your own thread Rocket as not to confuse things in the other thread ;)

Use the logo supplied, unless the client is willing to pay you to make the logo look good. Just make sure you stress to them how badly THEIR logo will look when printed and how it reflects their business. If they don't care, just run with it and have it printed as is. But don't redo the logo for free either 'just cause'.

Exactly what Ckret said above. If the client is local and you have access to a good quality proof printer, print a copy of how the logo will look and show it to them.

Tell the client that they log is of a very poor quality and will not print well. Ask them to contact their logo designer for a print quality file.

Failing that, give them the option of you redoing the logo at cost.
