Okay! Personal identity! I keep trying at it, then leaving it alone because working on something that represents me is a daunting task. I like squirrels, zombie movies and potatoes. However, those things don't really describe me as a designer. The mark is to be used to represent myself as a graphic designer to the general public, prospective employers and prospective clients.
So, I've come up with two ideas that I would like feedback on. I haven't got any images to show for it yet, just words/ideas floating in my head.
1. One thing I enjoy about design is that each client/project is slightly different from the last. I wanted to combine that with another idea, that people whose names start with "K" are usually proud of it. So, I could "personalize" my logo and/or mark on each piece by using, say, lead type K's stamped onto the business card/letterhead/envelope or hand-rendered K's (depending on the recipient).
2. Using words and symbols, I use anagrams derived from my name that relate to my career. A few anagrams from my name include the words "idea", "nerve", "invented", etc.
Thoughts, comments, criticism?
