I'm an Architect working on a brochure for a project here in Spain. We're going to do a triptic fold out, 14.5 x 17.3 cm. This is the cover. Doņa Lola is the name of the project, an apartment building with 40 or so units. Amueblados means furnished, Venta y Alquiler is for sale and for rent, Sama is the name of the town.
Any crits on the font spacing, etc would be appreciated. Thanks much.

Most won't download a pdf. Can you post an image? Instructions are in the FAQ.

Actually the instructions are here:

Dona Lola - problem with the ona and ola - eith they touch or they are equally spaced.
Venta - big space between the V and the e.
I don't mind the font, it seems very Italian or Spanish, kind of western cowboy like. I like the fact that it plays more on the text and type rather than a picture of the building - guess they are inside.

I also did a white backround...I like the darker more. The color pops out and it tends to condence and frame it as well

Thanks for the crit...yeah the Doņa and Lola and the V in Venta...they were bugging me as well. I want that Doņa Lola text to form a rectangle, a solid block...if i kern them the same they arent the same lengths...
And I dont know how to move the V more to the right...
The images are inside...that was a concious desision.

There's a few kerning errors like the variation in spacing between the 'NA' of dona and the 'LA' of LOLA. Also you need to adjust the baseline for the O's as they appear to be floating when compared to the solid bases of the other characters. You also need to adjust the leading on of the last two lines the descender of the 'q' and the 'S' of are touching which again varies from your treatment of the other characters.
When creating titles its best to apply some manual typesetting so ensure correct typographical technique is applied, ie don't rely of the font's default settings.

Looking better, I would say there are still come kerning issues.. and I agree with mkb.aus the leading on the last two lines is screaming at me.
The descender of the q touching the s is creating tension. I would recommend a establishing better way to resolve that relationship typographically because it looks terrible. I don't normally say things look terrible flat out but honestly… it needs to readdressed. The same is true for the large gap between the a and y.

When you are trying to sell something with a text only design, you really need to get the kerning spot on.
Where are the other 5 panels to this brochure?

Thanks for all the input. So I guess the kerning is important.:o
I'll post the remaining panels. They need more work. Font type and size to go along with the content and color.

Ok
Here is the concept for the next page.

A rendering of the interior and a description of the building and location on the right.
The right page unfolds to reveal...

This is the plan of a typical loft and a rendering of the facad.
Im still laying out the back page, it will have contact information, etc.

On the cover maybe you should also consider the positioning of the text related to the space from the border. Maybe it will look nicer if the space from the left border to the "V" from Venta is the same space as the bottom of the page to "Sama".

Kerning is much better.
DOLA - if you bring the N to the left a little, you can have more space before the A.
Just realised the colour palette reminds me a little of a swing tag (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=449501&postcount=2) I did.
The pink in the first spread is a little harsh - have you considered using the lime green instead? It would accentuate the green plant in the photo.
The type face doesn't correspond to the photography.
