What is your opinion of this logo?
Thanks,
CJ

thanks again.
This is not for a client but my own personall business. I also posted
in another forum about recreating the swirl so I could enlarge it without
being pixelated.

Did you design this logo CJ?
edit: I see in the other thread that you did.
Do you sell swirly things?
More background is always nice.

Yep. Is good to let us know what the business is, what is your service or product and your target market.

Well, I think it's clear from looking at this logo that we have no idea what you are selling!

If created in Illustrator, like it should be, you should NEVER have pixelation issues.

Do you know, from looking at the logo what Nike sells? Check marks?
Or Prudential? Rocks?
It doesn't have to be literal. But this one reminds me of another logo. Can't quite put my finger on it. Seems like it was a computer game...
I really hate doing swirls in sign vinyl. So many little bits end up getting umm....lost. ;) Lucent Technologies used to drive me mad with their old swirl logo.

It's not too bad. Ckret is right though, redraw that in illustrator so it is scalable.
Without having background my guess is either video game, board or roleplaying game, or some sort of fight club.
Some of those thinner pieces on the swirl are pretty thin. If on a business card, that might mush all together. Keep that in mind when redrawing in Illy.
Any other variations?

it looks like the Lucent technologies logo:
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=lucent+technologies&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi
the "blackandredandwhite-ness" of it in combo with the word combat makes me think it's an airsoft or military simulation scenario company.
critically, I think you need to focus on your letter spacing.. specifically between the A and the T in both words, also the 'tion' in revelation looks squished.

Thanks for the help.
The lettering is actually just the sofachrome font.
I have posted in the classifieds section and I am looking for a professional artist to design a logo for this company.
Thank you,
CJ
