Over the past year I've done a couple of pieces that have a bit of a political or counter culture tone to them, with amazing feed back from some local politicaly driven punk and metal bands, but I'd really like some feedback from other designers. these are just pieces I've done out of bordom so let me know what you think.

I'm not so keen on the font choices of the first poster. The composition is pretty elementary. I feel like you've just made everything on the page as big as possible. Understanding the impace negative space has is important in poster design.
The second one makes me think of Jelly Battle. How bad is that? I'm not sure what this is about (not american here), but visually, it looks good.
As a poster, I like the last one best. Reminds me of protest posters in general. The stop sign shape plus the fist is are very strong iconic symbols.
The little girl poster is creepy.

1) I agree with buda. And using all caps in a script face is always a bad idea.
2) As an American I object to the perversion of my flag. However, you've done it fairly well. The blue field is a bit small and out of proportion, and there are seven red and six white stripes for a total of 13 (the number of original colonies), not 14 as you show.
3) Making the colors a bit transparent to let the girl's eyes show through would be more effective, IMHO.
4) best of the lot. Very powerful.

I don't understand the messages of the first two.
what does an illustration of a barrel of oil have to do with life (other than your text). SO, I guess I get the message, just not the illustration.
biohazard american flag dripping blood. HIV? Ebola? biohazard... don't get it, but maybe we've got an outbreak of something... something to do with lots of blood. Radiation symbol would make sense in regard to nuclear stuff, but I'm just not seeing the connection with the biohazard+blood thing.
concept wise interesting but compositionally theres a lot to be desired – especially with the typography and macro perspective(gestalt).

so it seems that progressivly they've been getting better. That's what I was hoping for, as they've been posted in chronological order. The oil barrel being my very first piece definetley shows.
John, both are in reference to the war in Iraq (remember, this was pre fall of saddam). I think Anti-Flag said it best: "Promising futures being traded for profit" Basiclly, trading lives for oil.
Garricks; I didn't mean to offend, just making a "comment" on the war, and the WMD's that were causing all sorts of issues at the time when it was made. There actually are 13 stripes, but as a .jpg it put white behind the final red bar. I had originally placed it of an image of a flag to get the proportions right to start with.
Thanks for the feed back kids. always useful. keep 'em coming.
