Just a little tribute to the movie "Clockwork Orange", let me know what you think.

I like it. I like the minimal portrayal of the figures.

Is it too designer-ish of me to say "more white space"?

Thanks guys. You who wanted more white space ... I want weapons :D

But I agree with you. Have made some small changes to clean it up a little bit. Here is a link to the reference photo.

I wanted it to look like he was bending forward to get closer.

It might just be me, but the second pair of feet from the left look off.

Otherwise, I really like it.

I hated that movie at first. I got interrupted and had to turn it off. I had to work really hard to turn it back on. I am glad I did. I did see it for the intellectual quality and ended up enjoying the movie after all. One of the weirdest movies in my book just because of that alone...

I had the exactly same response to it. I truly hated it for being so strange. But that reminds me of when I worked in a sportsstore as a seller and when I had a person that couldn't make up his mind I told them: "What takes a little longer to accept will make you love it alot more in the future." And that worked very well and I think I believe it myself, that is why my girlfriend is ugly but I love her so much. <- That was a joke.

The book is better. Though the language takes a bit of getting used to.

Great design! It works very well with this film. Your blending of figure/ground is the strongpoint of the piece. I have also created a design for a Clockwork Orange poster about a year ago. It was for a Graphic Design class in which we were to recreate a poster for a film from the 70's. Kubrick being my favorite director of all time, I had to do Orange. Let me know what you think.

You should create a new thread if you would like work critiqued. Its inconsiderate to hijack others. Just to let you know for future reference.

Well, considering the subject matter, I decided to add another work into the mix. I didn't mean to take the spotlight away from serials work, I just thought it would be a cool way to compare/contrast. In my opinion, serial succeeded on a higher level with the emotion and depth that his design conveys. It almost appears as if the "Droogs" and Alex are leaning toward the viewer... Creepy! Come on, how often do you see alternatives to a poster for the film, A Clockwork Orange?
