Hi, everyone. I've enjoyed browsing the forums for a while now. I've learned a lot; so it's about time I signed up!
My name is Greg. I have a background in art and graphic design. I worked in prepress for six years, and last summer I got a new job at a small graphic design firm here in Vancouver, WA.
I have a lot to learn about design and business. Some of you have helped me already without knowing it. I look forward to participating in the forums!
My pipe dream is to go freelance, telecommute, live in a yurt, and tend my garden and ducks.

I'd love to live in a yurt. However, I don't think they offer too much in the way of storage space... ya know, no basement or attic to cram all your crap. Maybe I'll just have to have 2 yurts. One for living, one for cramming. They're cheap enough...

Hi and welcome!
Yurt is one of those words that make me giggle when I hear it. Especially when you say it over and over. That's a nice dream, especially with the garden and ducks and all.

Yurt sounds like an abbreviation of yoghurt.
Maybe it's because my mind is always in the fridge :)

LOL Tuliptree. :D
I actually know someone who builds structures similar to yurts (http://www.bendersbjurts.com/) that you can put up and take down for camping. If you check out his site, we were actually at the Freedom Fest event. The bjurt didn't do so well in the wind in that one.
