New User Here, Great Site!

New to the site, great to be here. I joined this site to meet other designers out there, share ideas, and hopefully learn a thing or two.

A little about myself:

I am a design student attending the University of North Dakota. It is the most horrible state in the US, but it is a great school nonetheless. I will be graduating in the fall with a BFA in Graphic Design & New Art Media. Once done with school I hope to get a job at a design studio in the Tampa, Florida area. I currently work at an on-campus design studio doing work for customers for the college and the town of Grand Forks.

Anyways, I am looking forward to discussing topics of design and art in general with everyone!

Welcome to GDF, Goyago.

When you have a few moments, please take a look over the threads posted here (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=42); they explain just about everything you need to know about GDF. (There are some very helpful tips for portfolio building and things like that in the "frequently discussed topics" thread on that page which you might find helpful.)

I'm Puerto Rican, so I only grew up on every variety of Goya beans. "Goya" was actually the first word I learned to read as a toddler. :D

It is a word that is very easy to remember. Actually, I picked the name because it was the first word that came to mind. I like to act spontaneously in certain situations, and I thought it sounded cool, so it stuck. I am a big fan of Fransisco Goya, so it fits quite well.
