Any recommendations on a substitute for "Augusta Cancellaresca"? It's a nice calligraphic font, and I'm looking for something with a similar style.

Here's a preview (http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/agfa/augusta-regular/cancellaresca/) for reference.

Thanks,
Greg

Thanks! Looks like ITC Zapf Chancery is gonna have to jump into the breach while Augusta Cancellaresca is away.

Buda, thanks for the link to identifont. I'm going to have to spend some time there.

Augusta Cancellaresca is such a fancy name. Isn't it?

Yes. It sounds like the name of an eccentric heiress who hosts seances and poetry readings in the parlor. And dances in the garden in her empire dress. sigh. Alas, Augusta, we hardly knew you.

I imagine she is a sizable lady too. With a deep and throaty laugh. She drinks red wine and fancies hard liquor when mood permits. She has an evil looking cat who's eyes can be relied on to forecast the weather.

Buda, that's awesome. We should have an illustrate a font as a character challenge on the forums ... I'd love to see your rendition of Augusta Cancellaresca
