Hi guys,

Just wondered if anyone has used and/or can recommend a Desktop Perfect Binding machine. We already have something similar that uses a plastic cover with a metal spine containing the glue but this can look cheap.

We produce small quantities (2-10 copies) of tenders (150 leaf), presentations (10-15 leaf) documents on a weekly basis. It would be great if we where able to have more control over the covers, making them look more professional.

Thanks in advance.

Look into a company called UniBind they make decent looking harcovers with a glue strip, the spine has a hidden metal strip which heats the glue. They look good with a variety of cover types and are about $AUS 8.00 a book. You need to purchase their heating element to get the glue to the right temp.

We use unibind already but the plastic covers look cheap and the hard covers are ok but we want to personalise them more than they allow.

maybe print a dustcover, might lift the overall look of the book. In Australia they also offer linen and faux (fake) leather covers in addition to the plastic ones
