I really need a way to calibrate the screen on my apple macbook pro. I know how to do so using system preferences but it's just not accurate enough.

1. Does anyone know of any other way to do this accurately?

or

2. Does anyone know of any software?

Cheers Guys!

P.S Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, I'm new to this whole forum thing.

You can buy a screen calibrater from companies like Pantone; it attaches to your screen and plugs into a usb slot and uses some software to make calibrations based on the light in the room and whatnot. Otherwise, when doing screen calibration in OS X, sit back as far as you can to make a good judgment on colors/brightness. It took me about five calibrations to get my MBP's screen to something acceptable.

Cheers mate! You're a champion. I did some research and decided on the Pantone Huey. It's in the post already.
Again, thanks for your help.
