So, I won a font book in university and I'm wondering if I'd be sensible to keep it for future reference or should I sell it (I'm broke.. like most students!) Any professionals out there able to offer an opinion?
Thanks :)

What book? not all reference books are created equal.
Are you talking about a book of fonts? or "Fontbook" the font management program?

How much can you sell it for? I guess it is up to you. I have a few font books.
When we at Uni they sold font books (made by Uni) of every font they had on the school system. I can't remember how much it was or if that kinda thing is legal, but there you have it. I guess they got sick of students trying to print 500 pages of font specimens by themselves during class time.

I have a row of books about typography here at the studio, history of __, visual reference of__, contemporary trends in __ etc etc
I find them useful once in a while. but I sold virtually every book I aquired in college (both times).. lugging them from dorm to home and back after every semester got old and like you, I needed money.
