Font Design Program

I am looking to put some more typefaces together. I need to know which font design program is the best (or the best for the money). I used FontLab back around 2003, but no longer have that program. In '03 it wasn't very fluid to send vector art from Illustrator to FontLab. I'm hoping that that issue has been solved in FontLab or another program.

Any thoughts?

Maybe check out Fontographer? I think that one has been around for a while. I remember the labs had that in college.

Fontographer would be a good call. It's pretty easy to import vector artwork into individual characters.

I've never used Fontographer but that is what was recommended back at GD school.
