Color Issues Tan:Pink

Hi all, I really don't know much about graphic design...I'm a web guy, but i'm designing a layout for a website and i have a color issue depending on the user's system.

If you look at this Jpg

the services tab (which looks like a manila folder). is supposed to be tan/yellow (#FEE2B8). It looks fine on desktop monitors but on laptops it has a very pink hue to it. Any reason why?

Maybe you need to get those laptop screens calibrated better?

We don't have much control over our client's screens unfortunately.

You've tested it on many laptops or just one? I assume it's just their color settings. I'll test on my laptop later tonight and get back to you.

I've tested 3 laptops and 3 desktops, I'll the desktops are fine and the laptops vary (touch screens being the worst)

I just looked at it on my hp pavilion laptop. looks fine on this end...more light yellow...no pink/orange hue.

I'm getting a definate pink hue - I'm using a desktop though. Flatscreen monitor

Looks like a manila folder color on my iMac, flatscreen.

i think it could be a LCD thing cause i'm running 2 monitors (1 crt 1 lcd) same settings looks pink(ish) on my flat pannel

looks good on mine too, but it could have something to do with one monitor being connected VGA and one connect via DVI. you will get two distinct images. some laptop monitors might be VGA vs. digital. that might have something to do with it. color correction via calibration can help, but it won't be exact. trust me -- i've tried with the two monitors i have here, and next hardware upgrade, i'm making sure both monitors are DVI.

I'm on an iMac. It looks like a tan manilla folder for me.

I have a laptop and an additional monitor. Looks fine on my flat screen, but looks pink on my laptop.
