I'm sure this issue has been posted before, but i'm a rookie charged with designing some flyers in Indesign for PC. I was thinking it would be cool to have a strong image at the top which gradually faded the closer it got to the middle. Is this done within Indesign? or do i have to do it in photoshop? What technique is used to acheive this effect? Thanks for any advice!

If it's your background image on the flyer I would strongly recommend doing the image work in Photoshop to get your fade, saved as .tif or .eps and linked into InD. If you are talking about the text as well as the background image, someone more skilled at designing with InD will have to answer. I'm only good at taking files apart for printing. (Transparency...nice effect for designers...sux to make it work when printing).
