Oye...

What system are you using?
What are you printing through? program?
What printer do you have?
Have you tried tech support? IT?

I ran a Agfa grand sherpa solvent L.F.P. made by Mutoh for Agfa.
what type of ink system are you using replaceable cartridges or bulk?

There was a time when Agfa's grand sherpas were retagged epson printers and if I'm not mistaken they're now Mutoh? If it's the printer I think it is folks around the world are having major issues with this printer. Also, Agfa does not support it, it farms its maintenance contracts out to a third party.

They may have been epsons but I'm talking about Large format printers 48" to 96" in width but not any more, the Mfg. and support ended in 2006.... but when I ran them they had a bulk system introduced. 1 liter canisters retro fitted to existing "master cartriges" They ran with mileage cards not unlike credit cards for each ink C/M/Y/K.
The purpose was to block any reuse of old card reader for new ink reservoirs. The system was not perfect and swiping the card to install new inks supplies. Also check to see if the media feed has misaligned.

I'm taking a guess from not knowing exactly what type of printer you have but just from your description. After repeated unsuccessful attempts at new ink cards, we had to call hardware supplier each time. I hope you have a service contract. I would insist to the service manager to update your firmware residing in the printer its self.

For your R.I.P. are running Poster/ Production house from onyx?

I'm thinking of a 40" printer used in offset.

I was surprised when I encountered Agfa Mfg. Large format inkjet printers.
They should stick to imagesetting and film, they basically jumped on the Large format bandwagon with out any concern for the buyers.

They even marketed Mfg. one that was a flat bed UV ink printer that was a total lemon never ever printed anything of quality. I heard of an install that was a year old and never produce a sale-able print, hence their retreat from from that printer market.
