I'm working in quark 6, so I guess you'd need to be in quark 6 to know the answer to this. Have Acrobat 6. Work in OS X on a G5.

The problem in a nut shell...when I create a PDF out of quark and open it in Acrobat, some of my photos are missing. Just some photos. Just some quark files. I'm talking about the way of making a PDF where you go to file, to export, to layout as PDF.

Any idea...and yes I've re-installed quark...didn't fix it.

there has been a lot of yelling about probs like that you can try the 6.1 upgrade & 6.1 patch... it may help... I didn't purchase 6.0 because so many people have complained about its instability go to the Quark website http://www.quark.com/products/xpress/61update.html
and download what you need for free .. it should be free they were not preparred to publish that software... its really buggy...
and just once to kill the lil bastage and shift+cmnd+T...to tab... but i always set my tabs w. style sheets so I don't use shortcuts to much.

hay gimmie a break .. it was like saturday night & I decided to stay home play my guitar & get drunk.... I get up the next day and find out that now I am a quark expert.. whadda ya want... can I get a lil credit.. I did put a 1000 page marine catalog together, layout, typeset & photograph the items & sent it to print.. in 10 months... straight out of school. still have that account too... but now... I have found my real talent (and I'm not drunk right now) managment! I just have other folk do it... other folks... doing it for you ...

Digi, why Quark? It's a dying breed. InD all the way! Unless you got no choice.
When learning, I went out and bought the Bible for Quark and whenever I couldn't figure out how to do something I wanted to do (or undo something a designer did so I could print it) I looked it up. I also had the shortcut printout pinned to the b-board behind my monitor so I could learn them. Don't use either much now. the bible, the printout,... or Quark for that matter.
