I watched a very interesting documentary about the early days of Walt Disney called "The Man Behind the Mouse" http://entrepreneurs.about.com/od/famousentrepreneurs/p/waltdisney.htm. What I found interesting was his early partner Ub Iwerks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ub_Iwerks. This guy was the true genius behind the art and Disney was more the business man. Ub Iwerks last name is interesting and would make for a good name for a graphics design company--iWorks---iWerks.....:)

Yeah, I've always though of Disney to be a fascinating person. Lucky for me I happen to live about a mile from all 4 Disney theme parks in Orlando :)
I actually know a dude who has a company called iWerx.. maybe thats where he got the inspiration.

The show was interesting because you could feel the passion in these guys because of the new technology coming out at the time such as sound for the cartoons in which Disney and company produced the first cartoon with sound. Before sound they were the first to add a video of a little girl and merged it with a moving cartoon. I can see some comparison to digital media today and what they were experimenting with back then.
