Hello All!

I'm new here - OK, well I joined a couple months ago, but I just discovered the introduce yourself board, so here I am!

I'm a graphic designer based in Central Pennsylvania. I've been doing freelance graphic design for about 3 1/2 years, in addition to other "9-5" jobs. Then about 6 months ago I started doing design full time. I'm self employed and my business is called JAG Design Ideas (you can find it at http://www.jagdesignideas.com). I really enjoy being a graphic designer, because I'm naturally very visual.

My goal for the industry is to specialize in high quality, highly creative design. I'm still developing a style for myself, but I tend toward pop/urban design. My inspiration for design comes from alot of places, any many of them are in the music industry. I also look up to some designers alot, such as Chuck Anderson (www.nopattern.com (http://www.nopattern.com)) and Peter Jaworosky (www.hejz.com (http://www.hejz.com)). There are many others, and my ultimate goal is to build my business into a well recognized design studio.

I've gotten alot of help already from just "lurking" around in the boards, and posting a couple of my own comments and questions. I hope I can constribute just as much as I benefit here.

When you have a few moments, please check out the threads posted here (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=42); they explain just about everything you need to know about GDF.

If you're not familiar with vBulletin forum software there are some great tips to help get you acquainted posted here (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28801).

Also, you might want to reconsider your user name for the sake of privacy:

Before you get to far into it here, you might want to note that using your business name is not really a good idea. This forum has very high google bot ratings. Anything you say or show here will come up in a search of your name.
You can re-register with a new name but we will not delete accounts.

The only reason I write this is because we've had a very recent spate of requests just for that reason.
