following my 10 year gap in gaming/console/computery fun, i now have a wii!! hooray!!
I have been enjoying playing with wii sports with my good laydee (and getting beaten quite badly by her :D hahahaha)
I've made a few miis (but have no idea what to actually do with them) and plan on downloading some retro games in virtual console (i MUST have R-type!!!!)
I got myself a Tony Hawks skateboarding doober but still working out how to control it... and i look forward to getting Resident Evil at some point and having a good ol' gore fest.
On the look out for some sort of target practice/shooting game now...
any one else got a wii? know of anything interesting i can do on it?

Mario Strikers is soo much fun, best sports game for WII thus far.
smash brothers is ok, little more tricky but fun none the less, my friend bought the Zapper adapter so he has the guns, its pretty cool...

cool! I didn't spot that thread! I'll find out my friend number thing and lets swap some miis... lol I gots MacFinn's, CkretAjint's, Blue Panda's and Mynock's numbers so keep an eye out for me... or should that be mii :D

shame you can't customise miis a bit more... could have done with some baggy cords instead of trousers at least :D

LOL - I think i did add you but my wii has not been hooked up to the internet since my neighbor moved out. I have been planning to pick up a 500gb time capsule but I am waiting for a couple freelance checks to come in first.

My fiancé and I are addicted to the Link Crossbow game that comes with the Wii Zapper. It's so much fun. We're constantly bumping off each other's high scores and making sure the other doesn't forget about it.

I've only used the Zapper, but from looking at the images of the Blaster, I'd say the Zapper is better because of the extra handle. But it's probably just one of those things that just personal preference.
All thrid party controllers/accessories suck ass.
When in doubt buy Nintendo.

I like the look of house of the dead and resident evil... i LOVE house of the dead in arcades so it would be cool to have it at home too :)

Heh. I worked at a video game store for 2 years back in the N64 days, and we sold all sorts of cheap third-party crap. Some of the brands were so horrible.. yet we sold them anyways because of the fairly high markup. It was harder to make money off the Nintendo brand stuff.
Some of it was actually pretty good though.. but not all.
