Indesign CS Text Box

I have Indesign CS v.3.0. My text box has suddenly decided to not auto resize the text. I can either place, or type text into the box and once the text gets to the right edge of the box instead of it automatically going to the next line, it stays as one line and disappears until i either carriage return or manually resize the box. Does anyone have a clue to this issue.

Are you typing into a table that that has a fixed size?
