I just recieved a file from someone who decided to do their own marketing.
He chose to use Curlz.
I actually find Curlz more offensive than "the font that shall not be named" or Papyrus.
I think it only has one, very, very narrow allowable usage -and that is for invites to a pre-teen girl's sleepover party.
This guy chose Curlz to promote a fitness class.
I'm gonna have nightmares.

I feel your pain. I did all the collateral for a restaurant that had its logo set in Curlz. In all caps. With default kerning. And the chef/owner wanted me to use it for all the headings on the menus, etc. I cried.

Care for some curry salt to rub in your eyes? Might make you feel better. :)

LOL Oh my goodness, I laughed out loud and nearly had Mt.Dew through my nose. You poooor thing!
Our older IT guy came to my office one day and was like "Hey, I've found this font that came on my PC that is just awesome...I bet you've never seen or used it. Let me sit down and see if you have it on your computer. Oh, you do, here it is! This is what I used on all of my Christmas letters. It looks SO good! You should use it in our identity materials!"
Sure enough, it was Papyrus. He was right about one thing - I've never used it!

Funny you should say that ... my nieces invitations is the only thing I've ever used that font on.
I can't believe someone wants to promote a professional business with it.

Ok, seriously, if I fall over laughing at work it doesn't look good. I need a warning before I read these posts.

I just took my bike in for a tune up and was shocked to see that some of the new models on display have their graphics done in Papyrus.
What in the world does papyrus have to do with biking?

Or Curlz for that matter--
The fitness class was a cycling / "spinning" class!

I've used Curlz once for a little girl's birthday party invitation. Fitness class? Is it a fitness class for 7 year old girls?

There's an old expression in the fitness world...
Curlz get the girlz.
