Trying to figure out how to get this purple highlighted bar at the top and have it highlight all of the form fields for this project im working on. I can get all the fields right, but my pdf looks nothing like this one that was supplied to me for an example. can anyone point me in the right direction? ive highlighted in red what im talking about....

If I double click on the field in question it gives me a dialog box called
Text Field Properties. In that box there's a tab called Appearance, and
you can set the colors there. Windows XP & Acrobat Pro 8. Is that what
you mean?

Edit: Ok, I guess I did the double clicking with the Forms Tool Bar on, and
with the Text Field tool. Tools > Forms > Show Forms Tool Bar

got it, thank you. now im having a much bigger problem.

i created all my text in illustrator, then used the forms dialog to lay out the text fields in life cycle.

no my biggest problem is this. the illy file i created is a normal 8.5x11 document, but the text i have is about 2 full pages. so i created 2 pdf documents using lifecyle. the problem i have now is adobe is giving me an error saying i cant merge 2 xml files together. i can package them (which i dont want) but i cant for the life of me have it save as a multi page pdf with editable forms. im banging my head on this one

im so ****ing frustrated right now, and this shit was supposed to be done hours ago.

seriously...... i ****ing hate adobe

ok i figured it out. basically to get around the error that adobe creates, i made my illustrator document about 8.5x16" then just made it one giant pdf form and put all my fields in.

jeeez, i just wasted roughly 3 hours trying to figure this out. thx seetharaman naryannanana
