okay, so I haven't touched a program like this since college (1997) and the last thing I did was working in Director, i think it was version 6 or something. anyways, ive been given the daunting task of making a flash intro for a interior design page and I have absolutely no idea where to begin.

I do have some basic understanding of moving objects from my director days, like a stage and timeline and stuff. but im looking for an online tutorial, or something online for beginners-intermediate that can show me how to make things fade in and out, text move across screen etc....

im pretty lost on this and ive been to the adobe sites already to read those tutorials which made absolutely no sense. i might be in over my head here but figured I would give a shout out and see if someone could point me in the direction of some kickass site they know of that could teach me some of the basic stuff.

thanks!

D, I watched the Flash tutorials from Lynda.com that came with CS3 Design Premium. I'm also using the Friends of ED book Foundation Flash CS3 for Designers.

Online I found:
http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorials/Flash/1
http://board.flashkit.com/board/archive/index.php/
http://www.gotoandlearn.com/index.php

And there's a forum at http://forums.flashgods.org/ that offers "live support" (haven't tried that.) Good luck...I'm in the same boat!

Tip No. 1 - make your animations in their own movie symbol/timeline. Makes your main timeline much more controlable and easier to modify.

And let me know if you need a starter stage, I'll zip one up for you. (flash 8)
