not sure if this post applies to this section but I wanted to know what the process is for printing designs on leather products such as boxing gloves.

in regard to printing designs on boxing gloves, would the paint "last" after repeated boxing sessions? Would a protective layer have to be placed over the paint? What would ensure the longevity of the painted design in this case?

Have you done any research? Go to a sporting equipment shop and have a look at some boxing gloves. One of the first things you should do when embarking on the design of something you know nothing about is to see what else is out there. No use in reinventing the wheel!

Here are some pics I found on Google. It seems that the printing goes not on the part that get contact and gets worn down. If you only print on the back of the hand you should be ok.

thanks for the observations, i didnt really notice that. so, in this case (the pics that you provided) screen printing is used?

I don't know for sure, but my best guess is that screen printing was used for the gloves.
