Hi.
I have a lot of price charts so I am using Table Style. But the client is interested in having rounded corners? I know there is a way to do it with the rectangle tool using object- corner options. but is there any way to change the stroke look using table styles in InDesign?
Thank you for any advice in advance.

So, you want the cells of the table to have rounded corners? If that's the case, my answer would be a simple "not that I'm aware of."

yes exactly. ok thank you. yea I have no clue how to do it without making custom tables in Illustrator. but that would take a lot more work.

There is a way similar to what urst posted in the thread buda refers to. It's in a tutorial (I think) by Sandee Cohen, maybe in InDesign Magazine... I can't get at my copies right now but I'll try to find it for you. If it's not there, it's in The InDesigner...my brain is on FRIED right now.

OK, I lied. They're on this computer, not the other one.
There's a great article in InDesign Magazine #19 on formatting tables. But I found this much simpler solution in the Adobe User-to-User forums:
Create your table and cut the entire frame holding. Then paste it into a new frame. Create your rounded corners and position the table as needed.
So with Table Styles set up, and an Object style for the enclosing box, it's only a couple of clicks.
PS: Thanks for posting this...my subscription to IDM was up this month and I had missed the renewal e-mail...I got the renewal price today! :D

“it.” :o
Re-edited to correct my clumsy sausage fingers:
Create your table and cut the entire text frame holding it. Then paste it into a new frame. Create your rounded corners and position the table as needed.

Just to stroll down memory lane here a bit, I think that the post Buda linked to may have in fact come from that tutorial you referred to Garricks. Talk about circular huh? Rounded corners, get it? Okay, never mind.
Anyway, that link also made me think "gosh, it's been a long while since I've seen Alan G on the forums". He was a treasure trove of knowledge for this kind of thing as well. :)

LMBO, urst. That's downright tubular, like, y'know? *grin*
I can't find the tutorial to save my soul now. I remember it because there's always much wailing and gnashing of teeth around here during annual report time. For some reason teh bosses think rounded corners make all the scary numbers friendlier...
