3D text using PS

I found a cool way (I believe) to create 3d text in a simple fasion:

That particular 3-d text doesnt look like it has the supporting sides. Looks like it has a front and back, with just the supporting left side. Nothing giving it that "wholesome" look nor feel.

Agreed, but as I'm occupying myself with various text tricks, this seemed to deserve a place, since I used nothing special, no filters, and I like folks out there to be aware that such text is possible. I have a tutorial ready upon request.
