Finally got up the guts to post something here. I've been working on a new business card for myself, and I'm really pleased with how this came out. I used my initial for the logo - wanted to keep it simple and easy to remember (but I keep thinking I've seen something similar to it before?). I chose a font that I think is easy to read and at the same time conveys a professional mood to go along with the over all style of the card. Let me know what you think, but be nice 'cause I'm really proud of this one! :)

Man I like that card and the prices! If I act now do I receive additional savings other than free? :p

I think your logo needs to be bigger!

I think this goes to show that excellent design work doesn't have to cost a lot. I'm putting together a staff of neices and nephews (will work for pizza) and of course, MSPaint is free, so we'll be ready to take on the world in no time! I'm working on spinning globes for the website!

That is a solid business plan. You should put all of that on the card as well. It needs for information on there. I see some empty spaces.;)

Emucru, you're right! Too much white space! I was thinking of putting my picture on it, but thought that might be tacky. Maybe I'll just use a stock photo instead. I like the photos that show the generic biz people shaking hands; customers will trust us if they see that on the card.

I don't think you're using enough color. And where are the bevels?

OK, I guess I still have some work to do on this if it's going to be outstanding rather than just alright. I can't believe I actually forgot some of the basic design rules - like bevels on everything! And I know the color's kind of bland, but I thought it would be easier to read like that. Oh well, enough with trying to defend my design - back to the drawing board.
Have a happy April Fool's Day, everyone!!!

Thanks especially for the greengrocer apostrophes! When I showed the other designers in the office I should have taken pictures of their faces...first not quite understanding, then turning to horror! :D Great prank!
