I've never known of anyway to disable print screen. Have you tried looking into free screen capture alternatives.

I know that screen capturing DVD video is usually harder to acquire, but Web pages should be a snap.

I use SnagIt, personally. It has a cool "auto scroll" function that comes is very handy for taking shots of very long webpages.

Or are you getting some kind of blank shot, like it's a security precation? What happens if you just hit print screen then paste into photoshop or something?

it just doesn't paste anything, the paste option is grayed out and ctrl v doesn't do anything.

Huh...Maybe something else you have installed is goofing with that shortcut.

Try this: http://www.brothersoft.com/captureur-6197.html

It's a really lightweight, easy to use, and free capture utility.

What program are you pasting into? Have you tried pasting into another one?

If you are having trouble with ctrl v ... just get a screenshot program .. I use Faststone .. and Snag its been mentioned they are both great programs and will auto scroll if you want an entire web page that is longer than your screen.

And remember if you are pasting into Photoshop you need to hit File> New then Edit > Paste.

--- so what are you trying to paste into?

may be the program itself and not the printscr button.

Try turning javascript off. In theory the screen capture could be disabled setting up js event listeners for the key stokes
