A background I made using common screen shots from Battlefeild 2142. Its my first practice in what I want to do as a side bar thing. Making functional backgrounds that also look nice.

Edit: the background of the background is just a stock image of metal. I didn't make it though I tried. My attempts didn't turn out so well.

i like it. i'm guessing those holes are supposed to be bullet holes? if so why not try roughing them up a bit to look more like real bullet holes?

Nice work, but I prefer naked ladies on my backgrounds. You will too, try it and you'll see what I mean.

I wanted to roughen up the hole's a bit, but since I made them in a certain way I'm trying to find out HOW to do that.

I'm also trying to make each hole a icon on my desktop and remove all the other icons. I cant seem to make a icon big enough using microsofts free icon maker though. So I just put clear standard icons in the middle of the pictures. Similar effect but I hate how you have to name them. Also you have to click on such a tiny spot instead of the whole thing like i wanted.

I like the idea. Get some references of bullet holes and either blend them in, or create some outlines using a pent tool and brush them in.
