Ok, well im designing my own site right now. Instead of going with my name as the url and name, I have gone with Noant Designs. Long story short, its derived from "no ants in my pants".

My questions are, does this work for the layout? which and what works, along with what does not work? The rest of the pages are based on the same layout, but i need to incorporate a gallery.

I have tried using lightbox, but i dont think that its a very good solution to multiple images (20) or so. Unless grouped. But im just really not feeling it. I would like something based on this particular site. http://www.onpaperwings.com (http://www.onpaperwings.com/) (the designs or photo section).

How could i achieve this? or a what is a good way to present designs and photography work? I have tried to research it some, but i am not coming up with anything new.

That effect is a javascript based gallery.

http://monc.se/galleria/
Is one that I know of that does that effect. I'm sure if you search out javascript gallery that you'll find a few more options. Lightbox, FrogJS, javascript.internet.com, Dynamic Drive, Scriptaculous, mootools, etc. Are all places to get javascript based effects.

If you want a more robust album Gallery, then the top of the list is:

thanks. I ended up using the monc.se gallery. But i have run into a problem.

I'm trying to get the thumbnails to line up on the right side of the images in full scale. As of now, they are under. and are in the form of a un ordered list .

and suggestions?

Here is a link to the way i have it as of now. (just getting it setup before actually puting into my site).

Does anyone have an idea on how to accomplish this? of Getting the thumbs to the right of the images once in scale?

I think you should include the hint of your desktop wallpaper in with your final site just like the screenshot. Adds an air of mystery and sex appeal :D

Here is an early version of the site. There will be a new design featured on the front ever so often. (not the entry page, but the first page from the entry page (the owl image).

There will also be a flash intro that i will be creating. this will just be used for my class, and then taken down. The entry page that is up now, will be the entry page.

Please go ahead and bash it. This is my first site without tables or frames. So it was a learning process to say the least. i am happy with it, but im sure there are things that need to be changed.

Thanks.
