Guys, one of our submarines caught on fire....and is now drifting 370 km from Scotland...sigh...

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1845&ncid=1845&e=1&u=/cpress/20041005/ca_pr_on_na/submarine_in_trouble

I just want to say...thanks to the US for having ships to help defend our coastal waters that don't catch on fire, and thanks to the brits for picking the 4 worst subs and selling them to our dumbass minister of defense. HAHAHAHAHAHA...

article said...
Pile said the submarine was on the surface and six-metre waves and 60-kilometre winds 'were creating some discomfort for the crew.' 'The seas are rough and with a submarine on the surface, they're going to have some . . . rolling and tossing and being without the power to propel the boat,' he said at a news conference in Halifax.

Oh, that sounds pleasant!

Today I begin to understand what love must be, if it exists.... When we are parted, we each feel the lack of the other half of ourselves. We are incomplete like a book in two volumes of which the first has been lost. That is what I imagine love to be: incompleteness in absence.

Seriously, Canada has a navy? A military? Who would attack Canada?

I'm kind of surprised that nobody has tried to invade, clearly we are unable to defend ourselves.

Match in the gas tank, boom boom.

what the hell? EVERYbody lives here. it's where you go when you can't stand where you're from. why would anybody attack? it's rude to drop in on your family unannounced...and armed.

For the longest time the most working submarines Canada had were at West Edmonton Mall, then we got the idea, lets by really used subs from the Brits. Brits new they didn't work that well, they are getting different models. Why do you think we got them so cheap?

That, and some of the higher ups in out army/navy are defending the purchase of these floating pieces of cr@p.

And still, the best working subs that Canada has is still in West Edmonton Mall...
