Grouping Layers in CS2

I'm having a problem reattatching layers in CS2. Once a layer adjustment falls off a layer, I can't figure out how to put it back on. Grouping doesn't seem to work the same as my other program.

In the layer menu, "Create Clipping Mask". Or Command-Option-G on a Mac, not sure what the PC equivalent would be.
