I must be blind, or just so aggravated with Adobe that I can't see straight.

So im on a windows XP machine, I go into Control Panel and go to Un-Install programs. When I click on the adobe creative web premium suite 3 it tells me that I must run some program to move the licensing to another machine. Problem is (amongst the fact that i cant read the flippin error message because for some reason Adobe wont let me have firefox open when un-installing) i cant find anything in the start menu under adobe that says un-install license.

im so freaking frustrated, this shit really gets on my nerves....anyone got any ideas on where they hid this nice little feature to un-install your license on your machine???

and nice little screen shot showing you the error message.....

the problem is, it says launch Adobe Creative Suite Web Premium 3 (which is NOT a program fyi) or one of its components (meaning any of the billion programs it comes with) problem is, i can launch any of those, but NO WHERE does it give me the option to un-install my license.

I don't know if this helps, but my laptop got fried, so I wasn't able to unistall my liscence. I already had the CS3 version on my desktop and my laptop at the time, so I wan't allowed any more activations. So when I got my new laptop, I called Adobe, and them walked me through a process where they were able to activate my liscence by phone on the new computer. They were pretty hepful, so you might call them. Hope you get the problem worked out.

It's a known problem - on adobe's help site there's a registry cleaner file.

I'll hunt down the link for you.

I don't know if it totally addresses what you want. But it does clear the license key from a system.

thx Jade, doesn't really help me out much for this instance but I will keep it in mind for future reference. looks like Adobe's going to get an earful from me when I have to call and re-activate this license. grrrrrrrrrr

Try using "Transfer activation" in the Help menu of any of the suite programs (note, that's where it is on a Mac, not sure if it's in the same spot on Windows). Hope that helps, it seems like that's what you might need to do. :)

"Deactivate" under the help Menu (PC) in any of the Suite programs.
Is that what you need??

I have nothing useful to post here but I pancaking hate this shit. They have made it such a pain in the ass to install and uninstall software that I paid an arm and a leg for. I used target disk mode to move all my applications from my old computer to me new one and of course Quark and Photoshop wouldn't run. I uninstalled and reinstalled both programs from the original discs 3 times before I gave up. Somewhere in the system is "corrupt" license agreement that prevents the programs from running.

I am a long time paying customer quit treating me like a criminal.
**** You Adobe.
**** You Quark.

yeah that was it, but i swear it was grayed out when i looked 15 times yesterday. oh well, i just un-installed it and called them to re-activate the new copy which was actually pretty painless. but i agree with MD, they need to quit with this BS..... where is that Adobe Dongle that keyare made? hehe
