I had to make a pdf for a sign that was 6400mm by 430mm. Indesign wouldn't let me do it. Neither would Illustrator.

It was all vector art so I've given it to them at 10% and we will see what happens.

The size entered must be between 4.233 mm and 5486.4 mm limit set by InDesign.

What would you have done?

Not sure what the maximum canvas size is in Photoshop, but much of the time, when you're going really large you need less dpi. For example, for large format purposes.

You can do some really stupid large stuff in Photoshop. But as soon as it tells you you are working in .psb format, your printer will kill you unless prearrangemnts are made.

It was for a signwriter so I wanted to keep it out of Photoshop.

What's the max document size for PS anyway?

You make it sound like a challenge.
