I'd love some comments about these preliminary logos (theses aren't fully done) but wanted to get some early feedback.

the 1st one looks too typical.
the 2nd one might be to big (the cart seems a little bit overpowering) and the font would not be my first choice

but the 3rd one. I really like where that can go! Neat concept keep working with that.

agreed, i would elevate the 3rd one...how about subtracting the word nine, and making the green read more as a 9, so it all reads together "on the 9".. but i would really try and simplify it because the detail on the ball is gonna get lost intantly when it is small... nice concept on #3

i am with jriddim on this.

Conceptually the third is the best. But i would loose the ball all together. You won't know what it is at a small scale. And the piece is conceptually good enough to be without it.

I dont like the type that was used either. Doesnt feel right and i'm an avid golfer myself.

keep working on the third. nice start!

I like some of the elements of the second option.

Perhaps you could make the O in Open more like a golf ball and render a more realistic hole flag.

Hey...another fellow St. Louisan!

I'd have to agree with most others...the 3rd concept is the strongest, although I think it still needs a bit of work to 'get there'. Maybe a more 'upper view' of the '9' to make it more 'readable'. Looks like a fun project.

Keep posting your progress.

The third looked fine.
No 1 is also acceptable, it can have stronger character with changing the font, or give a dominant color like no 3. Johnnie Walker I think a good reference.

Keep posting the progress

I like number one and two!!! I know they are what you expect to see of a 'golf themed' logo, but I just like them, with tweaking and scaling I think you're onto a winner...

My thoughts with number 3 are that once you develop it to a final solution it may become a bit too complicated, and or too simple and not tell a story as well...

I'm not kken on that green - or the shadow effect perhaps if it was blocked out a bit more... nice brighter limey green perhaps????

I'm actually curious of what #1 would look like if the circle outline actually matched with the golfclub to create a "swing."

no.1 is my fav so far but... that left arm has GOT to be straight all the way. (I'm a golfer you see!!)

Have you thought about the applications of this? If this is to be printed on something small like a golfball, then it will end up being very small. Therefore you should try to make the text a larger part of the overall logo.
